Peacefully on Tuesday April 19, 2016, Reta Marguarite McKenzie (nee Delgaty), formerly of Glenboro MB, passed away at the West Park Manor Personal Care Home in Winnipeg at the age of 92 years.

She will be sadly missed by her three children - daughter Mavis (Ted) of Winnipeg, son Bob (Marianne) of Stonewall, daughter Lorie (Mike) of Winnipeg; six grandchildren - David (Marla), Ken (Susan), Carla (Kurt), Todd (Megan), Brian (Alice), Megan (Curtis); six great grandchildren - Keira, Cohen, Evan, Calum, Emika, Everett; Brothers - Tom, Ralph (Myrna) and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bill McKenzie; brothers Gordon, Don & sister Eileen; sisters-in-law Helen, Dorothy, Evelyn, Florence and brothers-in-law Tom & Hayden and friend Albert Berry.

Reta was born October 10, ,1923 in Alvena, Sask and was one of six children to Edith & James Delgaty. She grew up in Gypsumville MB and began a career in teaching in 1942. She married Bill McKenzie on October 9, 1948 and farmed near Glenboro for over 40 years. She was an avid homemaker, gardener and active in community work with the United Church and Rebekah Lodge. Reta had a positive outlook on life and always had time for family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday April 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the Willmor Chapel, Glenboro, with Sharon Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in the Glenboro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her six grandchildren. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Reta's memory to a charity of your choice.
