Passed away at the Baldur Personal Care Home on Sunday December 18, 2016 at the age of 94 years, Esther Laura Elisa Verstraete (nee Van Damme), formerly of Glenboro MB.

Esther leaves to mourn her passing her children Lorna (Robert) Pittet of Holland, Ron (Val) Verstraete of Cypress River, Marvin Verstraete of Cypress River, 11 grandchildren Jean-Paul (Claudia), Carla (Scott), Matthew (Heidi), Jolene (Eldrige), Kerianne (Jason), Amber, Derek, Serena (Tyler), Kyle, Grant & Breanne, 17 great grandchildren Alejandro, Natalia, Antonio, Carlos, Fallyn, Connor, Owain, Stella, Greta, Nyla, Gradyn, Alia, Brooklyn, Alex, Emery, Austyn & Mason . She is also survived by her sister Irene (Albert) Claeys also of Cypress River. She was predeceased by her husband Marcel, daughter Janita, great grandson Ovide Seaman, mother Idalia De Blaere, father Maurice Van Damme, sister Elizabeth (Leon) De Smet & brother Gerard (Alice) Van Damme.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 22, 2016 at 10:30 am in the Willmor Chapel, Glenboro MB, with Father Phillip Malayil officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Alphonse Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception will be held in the St. Alphonse Community Hall. Everyone is welcome.
