Passed away at the Glenboro Personal Care Home on Friday May 19, 2017 at the age of 85 years, Laurence Solange Andréa Van Damme (nee Desrochers), formerly of Baldur MB.

Laurence leaves to mourn her eight children Garry (Paulette) Van Damme of Kemnay MB, Joyce (Jean-Paul) Girardin of Baldur, Donna (Winston) Anderson of Glenboro, Vivian (Rob) Sykes of Brandon, Danny (Tina) Van Damme of Assiniboia Sask., Perry Van Damme (Lisa Hunt) of Lorette, Ken (Ruth) Van Damme of Carberry, Joan (Mike) Gosselin of Brandon; fourteen grandchildren, Ryan, Keith, Pamela, Terryl, Jeff, Dale, Amanda, Justin, Ashley, Asha, Samantha, John, Grace and Kyra as well as fourteen great grandchildren,
She is also survived by her brothers George Desrochers of Winnipeg, Felix (Joyce) Desrochers of Birds Hill MB, Rolle Desrochers of Beausejour, sister Alma (Marcel) Cosse of Winnipeg as well as numerous extended relatives & friends. Laurence was predeceased by her husband John (1998), parents Raoul & Elisa Desrochers, brother Vic, sister Lillian & sister-in-law Julie Desrochers.

Prayers will be held on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at 7:30 pm in the Willmor Chapel, Glenboro. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place Thursday May 25, 2017 at 2:00pm in the St. James Catholic Church, Baldur, with Father Jose Montepeque as Celebrant. Eulogy at 1:45 pm, prior to Mass. Interment to follow in the Baldur Cemetery.
