We are so sorry to learn of George's passing. What a long hard battle he fought & never heard h complain about it! He was a great neighbor & friend when we lived in Holland next door to him! I can never think of George without seeing that round face that always had a big smile on it & those twinkling eyes. He was truly a family man & took great pride in all of you right down to the youngest! We felt bad that we were unable to make it to the funeral but want each & everyone of you to know you were & are in our thoughts & prayers. His was a life well-lived & the world is a better place because he was in it!😔

Hello to the family of George De Graeve. George was my cousin and although we have not seen him for a few years we do want to express our sympathies to the family. We hardly know you, the younger set,but we have memories of our youth when we grew up in the Swan Lake area with my uncle Cyril and family. We are sorry that we cannot attend the funeral,which is today. Age has also taken it's toll and I will be 90 in Oct. Driving that far has become a problem for me ,so it is best to stay near home. We do want you to know that our thoughts are with you all at this time and hope that the day will not be too painful. Once again our sympathies from all of the Verdonck families,(there are only a few left),and especially from Alma and Marcel.

To the family of Uncle George. How sad I was to hear of his passing. It is always hard when our loved ones finally leave us here on earth and those left behind have to deal with the loss of never being able to talk to them anymore. Although your Dad is at peace now we have to comfort ourselves in the memories which we have locked in our hearts forever. Larry and I want to extend our most heartfelt and sincerest condolences on the passing of your dear father and papa, George. He was always there for every one of you and loved you all very much. When our son Jim married George's youngest daughter, Sherry, he was welcomed into the DeGraeve family like another son and brother. We most appreciated all your family but it seemed we saw more of George, Rene and Jim when we were farming. Of course, growing up in the village helped as well. We've know the DeGraeve family forever, it seems. When our granddaughter Kailee was diagnosed with cancer, all of you were there for not just Kailee but her whole family. You are loved deeply for everything you did during that time. Once again, we extend to all of you our love. You'll miss your dad and precious papa but what wonderful memories you'll be able to share!
